The STEYBIL Leaning Stool from ErgoVerse permits individuals to sit or lean while working, thereby reducing the weight load on the joints of both the legs and feet. This upright position also makes it easy to return to a fully standing position with minimal effort. The STEYBIL seat offers an infinitely adjustable height range from 24" to 34" and a forward-tilt that locks in at any point between 5° and 20°. International office seating manufacturer Interstuhl has teamed up with GPS pioneer Garmin to take active sitting to the next level. Until now active sitting required a conscious decision to move throughout the day. Deploying seating options that naturally encourage individuals to move was done to encourage movement but still relied to a great extent on the user consciously making the effort.

Interstuhl and Garmin worked together to create the S4.0 Active Sitting Solution, a small high tech device that is attached to the underside of the seat from where it monitors and records chair movement throughout the day. The data continuously transmits either directly to a Smart watch or to a PC using the included USB antenna/receiver. The supporting app lets viewers physically see the timing, amount, degree, and direction of movements they are making throughout the day. Users create personal profiles for monitoring their movement and the APP provides reminders and recommendations for office workouts. Users are also able to customize their notifications and reminders. Registering with Interstuhl also provides access to weekly articles on the S4.0 and related topics.

The EQUSIT Saddle Drafting Chair from ErgoVerse features a heavily padded, tilting, bicycle-style seat mounted to an elevated heavy duty steel frame. A gas spring provides a cushioned seat height range from 27.75" to 36.6", sufficient to provide a suitable seating height for most individuals working at elevated workstations. The wide back features 2" thick cushioning and has independent height and angle adjustments to optimize the comfort and ergonomic positioning.

Two footrest options are available. Model ESDC-83015 features a large 22.8" diameter heavy steel footring that includes a convenient height-adjustable (minimum of 9" above the floor) 360° fixed footrest. Model ESDC-F-83016 features a folding height-adjustable (also to a minimum height of 9") 120° footrest with angle adjustment. For safety, the steel footplate has an aggressively treaded surface.
