The Office Balance Board from Aidata can aid in reducing fatigue both when sitting and standing. It accomplishes this by encouraging active movement of the lower limbs throughout the day. When standing it is possible to simply rock from left to right or flex from front to back to fully engage the feet, ankles, calves and even the upper legs by engaging with full range of tilting and twisting motion that can be achieved. When in a seated position it can serve as a low footrest that offers a left/right rocking motion to keep the feet active.

The primary action of the Office Balance Board is the left/right rocking motion that naturally occurs when weight is shifted from side to side. Because the range of motion is determined by the degree of shifting it is totally under control at all times. The secondary effect is the twisting action that can be achieved by actively engaging the feet and ankles and shifting weight front-to-back and diagonally. There are no moving parts to fail and because the supple covering has just enough texture it is easily repositioned using just the feet.

The Remedease Foot Cushion from Safco Products is a lightweight foot cushion which can be easily deployed anywhere a footrest with a significant elevation is required. The half-cylinder design means that the Remedease Foot Cushion can be used as either a "fixed" or "rocking" footrest. The foam core is quite firm but unlike traditional footrests does offer a limited cushioning effect. As a result it will tend to be more comfortable for those who prefer to remove footwear while at their desk.
