The platform locks in at fixed angles of 10°, 15°, 20°, and 25° that can be easily changed by hand. Height at the back of the foot platform varies with the angle selected; 3.5" at the lowest angle, to 6.5" at the highest. The side supports remain fixed at 6.75" with the platform moving up or down between them. To ensure that feet remain comfortably in place the surface incorporates a design of flattened elevated ridges alternating with shallow grooves. Rubber pads on the base keep the foot rest secured in place on both carpeted and hard floors.

Note: Because the platform locks at specific angles the Cozy Foot Rest is considered a "locking" foot rest.

The mousing surface sits about 2.2" below the top surface of the desk and at approximately 7.5" in diameter is able to accommodate the space requirements of most conventional mice. The pivoting design means the mouse can be brought out from the desk towards the torso, reducing the need to maintain a forward reach or stretch while using the mouse.
