The MVMNT Foldable Perching Saddle Seat from ErgoVerse is a non-swiveling, folding saddle seat designed for smaller or average sized individuals working at standard or elevated workstations.

The saddle design keeps the toes either in line with the knees (which are splayed and drawn back toward the hips), or even further back - below the hips, rather than extended forward of the knees as they would be on a leaning stool. This makes it possible to work at surfaces built on top of base cabinets or shelves, something that is not possible with traditional chairs (where the knees are too far forward) or leaning/perching seats (where the feet and knees are too far forward). The MVMNT also keeps the torso in an ergonomically desirable upright position, while at the same time providing stability and reducing the need to bend forward from the waist. This posture is especially beneficial when fine control is needed or when greater effort must be exerted. The small back rest offers temporary support for those who like to lean back occasionally to rest their back.

The height of the seat can be adjusted from 20.9" high to 30.7" high. The height of the back rest adjusts independently so individuals are able to position support where it is most needed. The seat and back rest are both padded for comfort and upholstered in black imitation leather for easy cleaning. The MVMNT features a foldaway, adjustable-height, foot-bar to provide a secure base of support when the chair is elevated too high for foot-to-floor contact.

The MVMNT features simple folding hinges, and easy handwheel adjustment of seat, back and footrest heights. The MVMNT is built on a sturdy, rectangular tube steel base that is rated to 264 lbs. Weighing only 18.7 lbs in total, the MVMNT can also be easily transported between venues or job sites.

The EQUSIT Saddle Drafting Chair from ErgoVerse features a heavily padded, tilting, bicycle-style seat mounted to an elevated heavy duty steel frame. A gas spring provides a cushioned seat height range from 27.75" to 36.6", sufficient to provide a suitable seating height for most individuals working at elevated workstations. The wide back features 2" thick cushioning and has independent height and angle adjustments to optimize the comfort and ergonomic positioning.

Two footrest options are available. Model ESDC-83015 features a large 22.8" diameter heavy steel footring that includes a convenient height-adjustable (minimum of 9" above the floor) 360° fixed footrest. Model ESDC-F-83016 features a folding height-adjustable (also to a minimum height of 9") 120° footrest with angle adjustment. For safety, the steel footplate has an aggressively treaded surface. Both styles of footrest can be secured at greater elevations if necessary.

Both models also have oversized 27" diameter Chromed Steel bases equipped with glides. The large base and glides ensure stability when mounting and dismounting from the saddle. If desired, the base on Model ESDC-F-83016 can be folded flat for storage.

The EQUESTRY Saddle Seat from ErgoVerse positions the body in an upright stance that is known to encourage upper body movement and deeper breathing. Together these have the potential to improve overall circulation and increase mental alertness. The upright stance also naturally realigns the spine and reduces the potential for lower back pain which is often associated with extended sitting. In addition it offers a significantly extended reach or "Comfort Zone" which reduces the risk of over-reaching.

The EQUESTRY Saddle Seat comes equipped with casters which lock when weight is lowered onto them, meaning that the chair does not move once one is seated. This makes this an ideal chair for those performing tasks which require fine control but also a full range of movement. The full 360° of free rotation lets workers easily align to equipment or reach other work areas as needed.

The gas lift provides a seat height anywhere between 22" to 27.6" and the seat also has the option of forward tilt up to 15°. This tilted seat position rotates the pelvis further forward, encouraging a more natural alignment of the back. Some may also find this additional tilt more comfortable. Since the casters lock when weight is put on the chair, shorter individuals may be able to employ the tilting option in order to use this stool as type of leaning solution when they need to move between locations and don't want to go into a fully seated stance.

The NOSTND Perching Comfort PLUS Saddle Seat from ErgoVerse is designed to position the torso and arms as close as possible to a raised workstation, particularly those built on top of base cabinets or shelves. Unlike the seats on a leaning seat or traditional stool, the large plush saddle on the NOSTND is designed to be straddled. Seated posture on the NOSTND is more upright, with the heels positioned behind the bend of the knees, rather than extended forward of the knees as they would be in a leaning position. This posture allows individuals to move in much closer to flat-fronted work surfaces than might otherwise be possible. As a result, the NOSTND Perching Comfort PLUS Saddle Seat helps to reduce the risk of overreach injuries to the shoulders and back, and the risk of injury to the muscles of the sides and mid-section caused by sitting sideways along the base of the workstation and twisting at the waist to get close enough to its surface. By providing a centrally supported seat that bears the upper body weight, the NOSTND also helps to reduce the load generally borne by the feet and legs. Overall fatigue, and the risk of strain on the joints and tissues of the lower limbs can be greatly reduced.

Both the saddle style seat and the large back feature 3" cushioning; and both are height adjustable. The height of the seat can be adjusted between 23.25" and 28.75". The height adjustment range of the back is determined by the seat position. A convenient handle and large rollers on the rear glides let the NOSTND be moved with ease when required. The NOSTND dual rectangular steel tube base is rated to support up to 440 pounds.

If a more traditional style of seat is preferred, the RSTMOR Drafting PLUS Chair, which is also rated to 440 pounds might be a consideration.

The LOBAK Perching Seats from ErgoVerse are ideal as temporary perching seats. The short raised back encourages individuals to sit upright on the seat, adopting a posture that encourages correct spinal alignment. The tilt-adjustable seat also offers the option of using the LOBAK as a leaning stool.

The firm polyurethane foam seat is waterproof and highly resistant to cuts or punctures, with raised ridges to encourage air flow for a cooler surface. Height adjustment is accomplished with a gas spring that also serves as a shock absorber by providing a cushioning effect when weight is lowered onto the seat. The angle of the seat is adjustable from 3° to 17° to permit each person to find the position that offers the greatest comfort.

The LOBAK Perching Seat is available in two models. Model 11002 features a locking clamp that secures the seat in an upright position but permits the base to fold up against the seat support for storage. Seat height on the 11002 ranges from 23.2" to 30.7" and is suitable for those of average height. Model 11050 features the same seat on a chromed steel, fixed (non-folding) base. With a seat height range from 24.4" up to 34.6", this model is still suitable for most average height individuals but can also comfortably meet the requirements of those standing up to approximately 6'4".

The WTRFL Perching Seat from ErgoVerse offers an angle-adjustable, contoured seating surface for both perching and leaning applications. The naturally-shaped seat features a flowing design with a softly rounded front that rises slightly to provide a "ledge" effect that can counter the "slippage" sensation that flatter seats may generate. The rounded waterfall front then drops down and away, eliminating uncomfortable sharp pressure lines against the back of the legs.

The firm polyurethane foam seat is waterproof and highly resistant to cuts or punctures, with formed channels facilitating cooling air flow. Height adjustment is accomplished with a gas spring that also serves as a shock absorber by providing a cushioning effect when weight is brought to bear. The seat angle is adjustable from 0° to 14° to let every individual find a comfortable position. A convenient handle is integrated into the back of the seat for ease of movement about the workspace.

The Muvman from Aeris is a premium leaning seat designed to encourage active movement throughout the day while working at adjustable or elevated workstations. The movement is achieved through a pivot joint at the base that accommodates movement in all directions. As the range of movement is explored the torso and hips become actively engaged in making continuous subtle adjustments. This means that rather than simply reducing the weight on the legs (as traditional fixed lean-to stools accomplish), this pivoting capability allows the Muvman to continuously adjust to movement throughout the day. The Muvman is also ergonomically beneficial in that it encourages an upright posture, and when used as a leaning seat it greatly reduces the strain on the lower spine when compared to a traditional seated position.

The well-padded Flexzone Seat (available in fabric or leatherette) on the Muvman has a slight convex contour that lets the seat mould itself to the body, preventing pressure points. The seat also easily rotates to the left or right, offering extended movement range while at a workstation, but has a spring-assisted “return to neutral” feature that ensures the seat is always centred and ready for use. The raised handle at the rear makes movement of the lightweight (13.9 lb) Muvman very simple but also serves to encourage one to adopt an optimal seating position. The seat on the Muvman is supported by an adjustable column that leans forward at 4°, encouraging a forward tilt on the pelvis to help support a healthy S-Curve in the spine. From the default position the column can also tilt about 7° throughout the full 360°. Easy-touch buttons on the underside of the seat facilitate infinite height adjustment between 20" and 33.5". The broad range makes the Muvman suitable for heights ranging from 4’6” to over 6’, while also accommodating a range of seating positions. The Muvman also becomes an in-between seating option for short-term tasks, making the transition to and from a standing position become almost effortless.

The 15” diameter base is equipped with non-slip rubber to ensure safety on any flooring, and because the Muvman has a limited tilt angle it also ensures that the overall footprint of the seat is limited, keeping the base in close proximity to the torso.

The SAIPH Foot Brace Rail is designed for those who would like to brace their feet against a sturdy, slip-free support, or when one would like to prop one foot up from time to time when standing to alleviate strain on the lower back.

Caution: The Muvman should not be used with a standard foot rest, especially those with non-locking foot platforms.

Note: Anyone familiar with the discontinued Mobis or Mobis II seats from Focal Upright may be interested in considering the Muvman as the movement is very similar.
