The wonderful thing about the Swopper from Aeris is that it is ideal for those who want to engage in active movement throughout the day. Bounce, Lean, Tilt, or Spin – the Swopper excels at all of these. Sitting atop the Swopper’s large cushioned seat is an experience in both movement and comfort. While the Swopper is new to our site, it has a long history, having been introduced almost 30 years ago.

The core of the Swopper is the Aeris 3D design. The large circular base ensures a stable platform regardless of the degree of movement. Incorporated into the base is a unique tilting mechanism that permits the entire seat to angle up to 12.5° from vertical in any direction – forward, backward, and sideways. The simple intuitive adjustment to the centre of balance in the desired direction will have the seat leans and support this movement. The seat also rotates a full 360° so it is easy to turn to the sides when working in a corner workstation, to turn away from the workstation and get up, or just to spin for the sake of spinning (who didn’t enjoy that as a child?). However, these are just the icing on the cake. The true joy of the Swopper is the incredible experience of being able to “BOUNCE” - as little or as much as is desired - your way through the day. Others in the office will not fail to notice the increased vim and vigor those using the Swopper bring to the office. The large spring below the seat even has a tension adjustment to accommodate weights from 110-264 pounds, and is also equipped with a standard gas spring that has a 3” adjustment range, independent of the primary coil spring action to better accommodate varying heights.

The Swopper is the perfect solution for applications where movement is either required or desired. The range of movements will keep muscles engaged on an almost continuous basis – ideal for those who need to burn off energy or have that innate need to be moving in order to maintain focus on the primary task. For those who have have tried using an exercise ball and find it either awkward or a bit unstable, the large base and more traditional stool design of the Swopper can provide the same benefits but without the bulk of an exercise ball. The Swopper is also permits a range of sitting positions and encourages a much greater degree of movement than can be achieved on an exercise ball.
