The PC-Trac line of trackballs is one of our most popular and recommended lines due to its high level of quality and workmanship. Made with only the highest quality components and materials, Clearly Superior Technologies trackballs have a reputation for reliability and performance. The precision-ground ball and mirror-finished rollers deliver 'smooth-as-silk' feel and effortless control.

The design is completely ambidextrous, accommodating either right or left-handed users. The extra large ball and contoured profile allow for easier control and accommodates hands of all sizes from children to adults. Hardwired into the trackball is its unique ability to dynamically accelerate across the screen in response to the speed with which you move the trackball.

There are four distinct variations within the PC-Trac line of trackballs:

• Two button trackball with hardwired drag-lock (or scroll-lock mode)
• True three button trackball (right, middle, and left button) with button programmability (using CST's Superior-X software)
• Switch adapted two button trackball with hardwired drag-lock (or scroll-lock mode) and three jacks for alternate devices corresponding to right click, drag-lock, and left click (corresponding mouse button will be disabled once switch adapted device is inserted in jack)
• Extended function true three button trackball (right, middle, and left button) with programmability (using CST's Superior-X software) and two jacks for dummy switches (giving five buttons in total)

Ergonomic Benefits

• Reduces arm and elbow movement
• Like a touchpad, the PC-Trac trackball is a stationary mousing device. To move the cursor on your computer screen, you simply move the ball with your fingers (the ball itself is anchored in the trackball housing). Because of this, you can greatly reduce arm and elbow movement, relieving stress both to the arm and shoulders.
• Uses less space than conventioal mice
• The stationary nature of the PC-Trac trackball also allows you to conserve space on your workspace. It is ideally suited for space restrictive environments or narrower keyboard trays that can accommodate a keyboard with only a few inches extra to spare.
• Hard-wired drag lock feature reduces finger fatigue
• The hard-wired drag-lock feature (the non-Pro versions of the PC-Trac) allows you to activate drag-lock by simply clicking on the middle button without having to hold down the button while you drag the selected item on the computer screen. This will simplify using applications that require significant click-and-drag actions. There is also a scroll-lock feature that allows you to horizontally and vertically scroll without having to hold down a button. By not having to continually hold down the button while dragging with the mouse, finger fatigue can be greatly reduced.

Features

• Middle button hardwired for drag-lock (for non-Pro models)
• The middle button is a drag-lock - this means that there is no need to hold a button down to highlight, select or drag an item. This is a real plus for individuals with trigger finger, who are constantly having to click, or for those with motor skill difficulties.
• Middle button in scroll-lock mode
• The middle button can also act as a scroll-lock. To have the button perform a scroll-lock (instead of the default drag-lock), press and hold the button for 2.5 seconds and it goes into scroll-lock mode. To leave scroll-lock mode, press any button again.
• Universal compatibility
• The universal compatibility of this design means it works well in a multi-user environments with a range of individuals.
• Low profile
• The PC-Trac trackball's low profile case acts as a natural hand-rest, mirroring the natural contours of the hand.
• Software for additional functionality
• Includes software for added functionality - over 20 features to enhance the cursor and add functions such as screen wrap. OmniSCROLL allows the user to scroll in any direction on the screen, even diagonally, making viewing large web pages or spreadsheets simple. For Pro versions of the trackball, the middle button can also be programmed using CST's own Superior-X software.
• Switch adapted model
• The switch adapted model of this trackball is a two button device that has three 3.5 mm audio jacks positioned on the back or side of the trackball. These jacks are arranged in parallel to the buttons on the trackball, and you can plug in any standard switch to generate the 3 different button actions corresponding to the regular buttons (left click, drag lock, right click).
