The original PC-Trac is re-born again as the L-Trac high performance laser optical trackball. Like the PC-Trac line of trackballs, the L-Trac is one of our most recommended lines due to its high level of quality and workmanship. Made with only the highest quality components and materials, Clearly Superior Technologies trackballs have a reputation for reliability and performance. The precision-ground ball and mirror-finished rollers deliver 'smooth-as-silk' feel and effortless control.

The design is completely ambidextrous, accommodating either right or left-handed users. The extra large ball and contoured profile allow for easier control and accommodates hands of all sizes from children to adults. Hardwired into the trackball is its unique ability to dynamically accelerate across the screen in response to the speed with which you move the trackball.

Utilizing the latest in laser navigation technology, the L-Trac has selectable resolutions of up to 1600 CPI, which are 'button selectable', allowing rapid changes of sensitivity. The high performance laser navigation system is capable of tracking at greater than 30 inches per second, even at a 20G acceleration rate. This means the user can 'fly' around the screen with a flick of the finger or snap from one side of the screen to the other with a healthy flick of the arm. Either way, this precision, high performance pointing device produces predictable, quick and precise motion that becomes intuitive in a few minutes of use. The optional scroll wheel is smooth and readily accessible, located above the center button.

There are six distinct variations within the L-Trac line of trackballs:

• True three button trackball (right, middle, and left button) WITHOUT a scroll wheel
• True three button trackball (right, middle, and left button) WITH a scroll wheel
• Switch Adapted true three button trackball with three jacks for alternate devices corresponding to right click, middle click, and left click (corresponding mouse button will be disabled once switch adapted device is inserted in jack) WITHOUT a scroll wheel
• Switch adapted true three button trackball with three jacks for alternate devices corresponding to right click, middle click, and left click (corresponding mouse button will be disabled once switch adapted device is inserted in jack) WITH a scroll wheel
• Extended function true three button trackball (right, middle, and left button) with programmability (using CST's Superior-X software) and two jacks for dummy switches (giving five buttons in total) WITH a scroll wheel
• Extended function true three button trackball (right, middle, and left button) with programmability (using CST's Superior-X software) and two jacks for dummy switches (giving five buttons in total) WITHOUT a scroll wheel

Ergonomic Benefits

• Reduces arm and elbow movement
• Like a touchpad, the L-Trac trackball is a stationary mousing device. To move the cursor on your computer screen, you simply move the ball with your fingers (the ball itself is anchored in the trackball housing). Because of this, you can greatly reduce arm and elbow movement, relieving stress both to the arm and shoulders.
• Uses less space than conventional mice
• The stationary nature of the L-Trac trackball also allows you to conserve space on your workspace. It is ideally suited for space restrictive environments or narrower keyboard trays that can accommodate a keyboard with only a few inches extra to spare.

• Superior-X Button Control software (included), allows the user to set different button settings depending on the application. This allows control of applictions, such as media players, directly from the trackball (volume control via scroll wheel, etc.), putting maximum control at your fingertips. Superior-X also allows keystrokes to be recorded and played back with the click of a button, allowing repetitive application tasks to be completed quickly.
• Switch adapted model
• The switch adapted model of this trackball is a three button device that has three 3.5 mm external switch jacks positioned on the side of the trackball. You can plug in any standard switch to generate the 3 different button actions corresponding to the regular buttons (left click, middle click, right click).
