Do you find yourself perching on the front of your seat or continually squirming in your chair?

Do you feel like the circulation through your legs is being restricted or cutoff?

Do you feel like new-age style 'ball' chairs make you worry about losing your balance and falling off them?

Introducing a Chair that won't make you feel that way, affording you balanced effortless motion.

The SwingSeat Pro

Motion is Key

You see, it’s all about motion. A body at rests tends to be in trouble. A body in motion tends to stay in motion. While the some chair manufacturers talk about how important motion is to your well–being, they don’t deliver it. The SwingSeat Pro utilizes a patented design to keep your body in motion while keeping it stable.

Continuous Effortless Movement

SwingSeat Pro chairs continuously and automatically adjust from full forward 'incline' to full backward 'recline', as the chair is perfectly counterbalanced. Shifting position or inclination is completely simple and intuitive.

Ease of Adjustment

Instantly and automatically, achieve the full range of possible seating positions AND, your eyes and hands are not pulled away from your monitor and desktop as you move. No levers or knobs to use (or more accurately, neglect to use) - complete natural movement without the use of a single lever.

Back and Lumbar Support

Independently supported, tension adjustable backrest follows your every move... the most consistent back support and lumbar support for the most demanding needs of any office, computer or task chair user!

SwingSeat Pro's patented mechanism and contoured cushions perfectly counterbalance your body as you move from one task to another. From the moment you sit down, the SwingSeat Pro senses the position of your body and independently adjusts the seat and backrest to perfectly align to you because their movement is synchronized to your body.

Reach forward to answer the phone, lean back to relax, sit up to work a your keyboard, SwingSeat's seat and backrest automatically provide superb comfort and support. You can concentrate 100% of your effort on your work while enjoying the wonderful benefits of natural motion because your SwingSeat Pro allows you to continuously vary your posture without having to make any adjustments to the chair. The SwingSeat Pro is the only chair in the world that allows your body to move naturally, in the same way that you walk, swim and dance. Because the SwingSeat Pro dynamically adjusts to you, you'll never have to fuss with levers and complicated controls.

The SwingSeat Pro Task Chair provides great support to the low and mid-back and unrestricted freedom for the arms and shoulders to move. The SwingSeat Manager Chair adds upper back for the user who prefers a more reclined posture.

Why is Motion So Important?

The old saying "use it or lose it" is true when it comes to good health and your back. Your body hates static positions and craves motion because motion supplies your back, discs, muscles and ligaments with blood and nutrition, keeping them healthy.

How Does the SwingSeat Pro Work?

The seat and back move independently so that the chair is in synche with your body providing continuous personalization. Unlike your current chair which controls your range of motion and insists you sit a certain way, the SwingSeat Pro provides perfect equilibrium by counterbalancing the movement of your body.

How Does the SwingSeat Pro Feel?

The first thing you will notice is that you feel like you are floating because SwingSeat Pro has the lowest measured pressure points of any chair on the market. You'll be surprised at how fast your back (especially if it is stiff or in pain) will respond when you sit in a chair that intuitively responds to your movement.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Looks like a great chair...so where can I go to see it?

This is the most common question people ask when considering purchasing the SwingSeat Pro. We are looking for good partners to increase the visibility (and accessibility) of this product to the Canadian market. At this time however, the vast majority of our customers are buying "sight (or sit as it were) unseen" off of the Internet. Call it a leap of faith (or people desperately looking for a true seating solution) but the manufacturer has sold a significant amount of chairs that way over the past couple years (and probably missed just as many sales at the same time for this reason).

We know you may be uncomfortable with the idea of spending money on something you can't see or touch before buying. However, we are confident when we say you won't be disappointed; the chair performs like no other chair you have ever sat in. And if you don't agree, we do offer our 30 day customer satisfaction guarantee.

Everyone says their chair is an "ergonomic chair". So tell me something I dont know...

OK... The most 'abused' phrase in the seating business is 'ergonomic chair'... if you perform a search on that phrase on Google you will get more than 3 million pages of everything from $50 stack chairs to $3000 custom-built chiropractic chairs. Simply stated; any chair with a lever that will change the chairs seating position is called 'ergonomic' in much the same way that anything with four wheels and an engine is called a 'car'. Ergonomics in very simple terms implies 'movement', and for the human body, the more you get of it the better.

But, pay little attention to the word itself and think more of what brought you to consider a new chair in the first place. You have a specific need for a seating solution to solve real problems (back pain, leg pain, circulation problems, uncomfortable from long hours of sitting, heavy multi-tasking use, etc.). You need a chair that will give you the highest level of comfort and the greatest reduction in painful sitting induced problems. If that is your need, no other chair can match the SwingSeat Pro's freedom of 'movement' and as we all know, the more you get of it the better.

My back feels fine so I think i just need something to sit on...

Your chair is more than just something to 'sit' on. Chairs are an integral, even indispensable factor in many peoples lives. You may spend more 'intimate' time with your chair than any other single tool that you use in your daily routine to accomplish whatever it is you need to do.

In addition, anything which is that close to you effects you both physically and mentally if it is not doing the right job for you. If you spend years of doing something even slightly wrong now, it will most certainly have long term consequences somewhere down the road.

And as far as price... there are chairs all over the Internet that won't do half as much as a SwingSeat Pro, but sell for much more!

I have a bad back. Is this the chair for me?

Of course people's backs hurt! Your back was not designed for long periods of sitting. In fact, sitting is about the worst thing you can do for your back. But if your work requires sitting, what is a person to do besides suffer...perhaps consider the only chair which knows the secret to solving the seating problem: the SwingSeat Pro. The design of this chair ensures instant and automatic adjustment to perfectly support you from the moment you sit down and every time you move. You'll be amazed at the difference in how you feel.

I don't sit for very long at all... maybe 10-15 minutes at a time. Is this the chair for me?

It is hard to say. Compared to other chairs, the benefits of the SwingSeat Pro are more noticeable to those people who sit for longer periods of time. If you are constantly in and out of your chair, walking around and doing things on your feet, then you are primarily doing what your body needs to do to stay healthy. In that case, you won't notice as much of a difference between a SwingSeat Pro and other chairs.

So is this the right chair for you? Well, if you can't get up and walk around for few minutes 3 or 4 times every hour then buy a SwingSeat Pro and let the chair do the walking for you (and give you all the benefits with no effort).

Your chair is quite different looking. I don't think it will fit my decor..."

The chair doesn't fit some people's preconceptions of an 'office' chair, however we like the way it looks :) Besides, the manufacturer is not selling 'pretty' or 'popular'; they are selling a chair that performs in a very specific manner to solve a very specific problem... bad seating design. Chairs designed to look 'in' may in fact be very 'out' when it comes to your health. The bottom line is that seating should be about function and usability not design (besides... they couldn't make it do what it does if they built it any other way).

I'm just getting used to my chair with the tilt, angle and reclining levers under the seat. Why would I want to switch now?

You might have missed a key point that is important to understand about this product. While it is possible to make those manually adjusting chairs move into various positions, you will always be hindered by the following: Every time your body wants to move to a different seating position, you must first reach down to the side of the chair, grab a lever, "move the chair" into the position you want to be in and then "move yourself" into that position.

Multiply that action by the hundreds of times per day that your body wants to move (yes, some moves are very small and intricate but, none the less important) and you are putting a lot of thought and effort into what is really 'non-productive time' (or worse, you are simply just not doing it...). A SwingSeat Pro requires no such manual adjustments... it moves as you move.

Think of it this way. .. you really don't want to drive a stick-shift car in rush-hour traffic just to get to work, so why sit in a stick-shift chair when you get there?

Which cylinder should I get?

Adjust your chair to the correct height (so that your feet are resting comfortably flat on the floor, and your legs have a slight downward slope i.e. the top of your leg where it meets your body should be slightly higher than the top of your leg at your knee. Measure the distance from the seat (after you are sitting in it i.e. taking into account the compression of the seat material) to the ground in inches, and it is also helpfuly to have your height when standing.

In general...

If you are under 5'4" tall, you may consider the Short cylinder
Specifically, if your seat height is less than 16" above the ground, consider purchasing the short cylinder or preferably purchase the normal cylinder with footrest.

NOTE: If you have to reach up to get to your worksurface (i.e. keyboard, mouse, desktop, etc.), you are better off to get the standard cylinder rather than overextending to work. Similarly, your primary viewing area (usually the computer monitor or document holder) should be at an appropriate height such that you don't have to tilt your head/neck back to see this area. Of course if you purchase a standard cylinder, your feet will 'dangle' so this will also necessitate the purchase of a foot rest to provide proper support and ensure comfort. However it is better to have a (taller) chair that puts your working area and viewing area at the correct height and requires a footrest than to get a 'correct' shorter chair which puts you at the wrong height to see your monitor and work on your keyboard.

If your are in between 5'4" and 6'2" tall, you usually should get the Standard cylinder.
Specifically, if your seat height is in between (i.e. 16" - 20" above the ground) we recommend the Standard cylinder.

If you are over 6'2" tall, you should consider getting the Tall cylinder
Specifically, if your seat height is more than 20" above the ground, consider purchasing the tall cylinder.
