The SEET Leaning Stool from ErgoVerse is a lightweight portable leaning or perching stool with an integrated handle and rollers for ease of movement between work stations. The 16.5 pound SEET is suited more to short-term leaning or resting rather than as a long-term seat.
The tubular steel base supports a gas spring lift that helps to minimize impact when weight is brought to bear. It provides seat height adjustment from 24.8" to over 33". The unique "cylinder roll" seat is 12.75" wide, with a diameter of 3.5" and is formed from sturdy self-skinned non-absorbent polyurethane foam that is highly resistant to nicks or cuts. Deep cut ribbing on the roll provides a textured surface to facilitate airflow and helps to keep skin cool, dry and comfortable.
The heavy-duty textured black tubular steel base on the SEET provides strength and stability ideal for industrial settings but can also function in any location. Strong nylon glides engage the floor to ensure firm positioning of the seat and the incorporated rollers permit the chair to be easily moved between workstations. The unique design of the base maximizes stability while greatly reducing the risk of tripping for passersby.

Reduces Risk of Lower Back Pain
- Standing with the feet flat for extended periods (such as at a standing desk or counter) requires the muscles of the lower back to remain in a state of constant tension (even more so if the abdominal muscles are weak.) As these muscles tire, the back tends to curve or arch, which can often lead to an unnatural and unhealthy degree of lordosis (sometimes referred to as "swayback"). As some degree of unnatural curvature is already common to many back problems, a standing workstation actually has the potential to increase pain and fatigue (rather than decrease it). By employing a leaning stool such as the SEET, which can tilt the pelvis slightly forward, the spine is permitted to return to the natural, gently curved S-shape that provides the greatest strength, stability and support for the entire body. The unnatural, extreme curvature is eliminated, and the overworked muscles of the back are able to relax and recover.

- Static standing has been identified as a contributing factor in the development of edema (swelling of the lower legs). When the muscles of the lower legs are not being flexed their ability to pump blood and fluids through the circulatory system is restricted. - Choose first whether you wish to sit or lean. Adjust the tilt of the seat accordingly.
- Select the correct height. When adjusting the height of the seat for a leaning posture, aim to position yourself so that the angle of your thighs is between 25° and 40° off the vertical. If you are unable to make comfortable contact with the seat you have likely set the seat too high.
- Consider adding a MATAR Anti-Fatigue Mat to your workstation. If you notice that you do not feel secure (i.e. your feet feel as if they are slipping out from underneath you), or you would like a cushioned surface for your feet to rest on, consider adding a non-slip Anti-Fatigue Mat to your workstation.
- Consider Bracing Your Feet. Some find when leaning that bracing their feet against a sturdy, fixed bar or rail such as the SAIPH Foot Brace Rail can substantially improve their comfort. Caution: Standard footrests are not recommended for this application.
