The SafeType Vertical Keyboard is a fixed vertical split keyboard that eliminates both pronation of the forearms as well as wrist extension. The innovative design orients the hands in a neutral "handshake" position" which greatly reduces the potential for common issues associated with repetitive use of traditional "flat" keyboards. With pronation eliminated issues such as tennis elbow are largely addressed.

By orienting the primary alphanumeric keys vertically the potential for users to be affected by wrist extension are also greatly reduced. Since the hands remain vertically oriented the majority of the time there is low risk for users to rest the heel of their hand on the work surface.

Due to the unique vertical layout of the SafeType Vertical Keyboard this product is only recommended for users who are competent touch typists. Convenient mirrors provide assistance when needing to access less common upper rank numerics or the function keys (legends are printed in reverse on these keys so they present correctly in the mirrors).

The vertical design of the SafeType Keyboard means gravity will pull the hands down if they are not sufficiently supported. For that reason users should create a workspace equipped with appropriate arm rests that will support the hands in a neutral elevation. With a well-designed workstation layout users are able to relax their shoulders and arms, permitting the fingers to be activated with minimal stress. With relaxed shoulders and arms users are able to complete data entry for longer periods than would be possible using more traditional keyboard formats.

The Cleankeys CK3-15 Wireless Keyboard from Cleankeys Inc. is a wipable, waterproof cordless keyboard designed for environments in which hygienic conditions are a necessity, such as medical and dental operatories. The tap-sensitive keyboard is available with a Gorilla Glass (completely flat surface) top surface that is easily cleaned using hospital-grade disinfectants. Key strokes are activated by tapping the marked zones on the top surface (key-tapping has adjustable sensitivity), as there are no moving mechanical parts in the keyboard. An innovative dual-use numeric keypad (10-key) doubles as a large oversized touchpad, which allows the device to act as a complete mousing solution without increasing the required footprint.

The ISO compliant standard 101 key layout makes transitioning to a different keying action easier for users. It also detects the thoroughness of keyboard cleaning and provides users with a 'clean gauge' as it monitors the cleaning process and alerting when the cleaning is complete. The policies associated with these alerts can be customized in the software by the hospital (i.e. touch counts, and idle periods). Now organizations can be assured that the hygienic requirements for keyboards are being met, and staff are provided clear alerts by the devices as to when and for how long they need to be cleaned to meet facility standards.

The Freestyle Solo is one of the most versatile keyboards currently available. The low-profile keyboard is divided into two separate parts or modules, which are connected by an 8 inch cable. This modular design allows the user to configure the keyboard in an optimal orientation, either by splaying the modules at any angle or by adjusting the distance between the modules up to 8 inches. Different accessory kits can be purchased for additional keyboard configurations, including tenting the modules at set angles of elevation. The standard Freestyle Solo model comes with an 8 inch separation cable and is legended in English, but other models are also available, such as one offering a 20" separation cable, or one having a tri-color French Canadian bilingual legended layout.

ACCESSORY KITS

The VIP Accessory Kit for the Freestyle Solo allows the user to create adjustable lateral sloping or tenting of the keyboard modules at 10° or 15°. Palm supports are included with this kit and must be in place in order to use the tenting mechanisms. If you want a tenting mechanism without integrated palm supports, choose the V3 Accessory Kit, which offers tenting of 5°, 10° and 15°, since it is not possible to use palm supports with the V3.

The more specialized Ascent Accessory Kit provides two multi-angle tenting modules which attach to the underside of the keyboard's two keying modules. A linking plate may be used to connect the two tenting modules if desired. Tenting angles may be independently set for each tenting module in the range of 20° to 90°, in 10° increments. Left or right separation is limited only by the length of the keyboard's linking cable. The standard 8" separation cable may work for some users, but the 20" linking cable is generally recommended for greater flexibility.

Le FreeStyle Solo est le clavier tout seul qui offre une séparation de 8 pouces et d'ébrasé variable infinit. Ce clavier vien dans un modèl standard en anglais, aussi qu'un modèl avec 20 pouces de séparation, et un modèl qui est marqué bilingue avec trois couleurs, qui est facile à lire.

En additionant l'accessoire VIP (FreeStyle VIP) au clavier Solo, vous pouriez faire un inclinasion transversale variable (10° ou 15° de tente) et ça vien avec des supports aux mains détachables (avec des coussins qui vont ensemble avec les supports). L'accessoire V3 (Freestyle V3) offre une tente de 5°, 10° et 15° et n'offre pas les supports aux mains. L'accessoire Incline (FreeStyle Incline) offre une base fixé de 10° et qui ébrase variable jusqu'à 30°.

L'ACCESSOIRE NOUVEAU DU ASCENT - La nouvèlle trousse du Freestyle Ascent est compris de deux morçeaux qui sont positionés de réglage multiples qui sont attachés au dessu des morceaux du clavier, en plus d'une plaque jointive qui peux être utilisée pour joindre les deux morceaux du clavier si ça vous convien mieux. Les angles de tentes peuvent être mise en place indépendants pour chaque morceaux du clavier des angles entre 20° et 90°, dans les pas de progression de 10°. La séparation gauche et droite sont seulement limitée de la longueure de la corde du clavier qui joins les deux morceaux ensemble.
