The Scissor-Switch Keyboard with USB Hub from Solidtek is a traditional full-size keyboard featuring high-quality scissor switches and a matching low-profile housing. All keys are standard width, with the upper row of F-keys and specialty functions being two-thirds in height. This keyboard is also equipped with two USB ports, one on either end of the keyboard for convenient connection of other low power devices such as a mouse or memory stick.
The scissor-switch keys, similar in look and feel to those used in laptop keyboards, contribute to the keyboard's low profile housing. The satin-texture key caps are slightly concave to assist in maintaining finger position. As is also the case with laptop keyboards the keys have a low travel distance, just 2.4 mm. While this keyboard is low profile it does have a slight positive incline, rising from 0.625" at the front to 1.0" for the uppermost rank of keys. |

This low profile helps reduce extension at the wrist (provided, of course, that the keyboard is positioned at the correct height for the user). Note that due to the keyboard's slight positive incline, those with pain or discomfort resulting primarily from wrist extension may need to make additional modifications to the workstation.
