The Atlantic Footrest from Score continues the tradition of high quality and performance for which Score is known. Offering a large non-locking tilting platform (17.2" x 12.0"), the Atlantic employs a ratchet lock to adjust and maintain elevation. Using one foot to stabilize the footrest, the tip of the other foot is then employed to lift the platform through the 6 height settings, ranging from 3.9" to 7.9". When lifted past the highest setting the ratchet then disengages and the platform returns to the lowest setting. The heavy steel base ensures stability at all times. The non-locking tilt permits the platform to freely move within a 3° to 80° range, encouraging regular flexing of the ankles and lower leg muscles throughout the day. Raised traction lines flow across the width of the platform to keep feet securely in place.
Aptly named, the Atlantic Footrest platform features soft wave-like contours evocative of ocean swells, while also reflecting the focus on eco-friendly construction. The footplate is formed of 70% nylon reclaimed from fishing nets and then reinforced with fibreglass to enhance the strength. The footplate itself is 100% recyclable as is the steel frame, resulting in a product that is 99% recyclable by weight.
Caution: The Atlantic Footrest should not be used as a step stool. Do not attempt to stand on the footrest. | | Ergonomic Benefits |

Eliminates Bending and Twisting - The Score Atlantic Footrest is easily adjusted by using just the feet. There is no risk of injury by bending and reaching beneath a desk. Height adjustment is accomplished by positioning one foot over either of the marked tabs at the front of the footrest, while using the toe of the other foot to lift the front edge of the footplate to the desired height. A simple ratchet system holds the platform in place. Moving to a lower position is accomplished by the same action, lifting the plate above the top position to release the ratchet, lowering the plate down all the way to reset the mechanism, then raising it to the new height. All of these adjustments can be easily accomplished while remaining seated.
Reduces Strain on the Foot and Ankle - Many office workers will position one foot forward of the other while seated, putting the foot into a position called plantar flexion. Plantar flexion can lead to shortening of the calf muscles. Over time, sustained plantar flexion can cause them to become tight and stiff, which in turn can lead to a range of uncomfortable symptoms in the foot. The non-locking platform on the Atlantic Footrest encourages regular and effortless flexing of the ankle joint, promoting healthy movement at the ankle, and reducing strain caused by sustained plantar flexion, or sustained dorsiflexion. These frequent small movements can also promote better circulation, helping to reduce the risk of blood clots and varicose veins.
Improves Upper Body Posture - The Score Atlantic Footrest provides a stable and supportive surface that encourages proper utilization of chair backrests rather than "perching" on the front edge of the seat. This improved posture can reduce the risk of upper back, shoulder and neck pain. The roughly 4"-8" height range of the Atlantic Footrest ensures that even those of shorter stature can reap these benefits.
Reduces Negative Effects of Prolonged Sitting - By properly supporting the feet and legs, this footrest takes the pressure off the backs of the thighs and relieves strain on the lower back.
Can Reduce Potential Pressure and Restriction of Circulation - Shorter individuals often have their chair elevated in order to achieve appropriate ergonomic positioning at their workstation. This can leave their legs "dangling" which can result in pressure against the back of the thighs, potentially restricting circulation. A footrest of sufficient height can reduce or even eliminate these pressure points - encouraging unimpeded circulation.
Promotes Good Circulation in the Feet and Legs - The non-locking, tilting platform encourage workers to flex their feet back and forth, promoting circulation in the lower limbs.

- 6 Height Settings: The Atlantic Footrest offers six height settings ranging from 3.9" to 7.9". This 4" range makes it well-suited for most workers, even those of shorter stature.
- Non-Locking, Tilting Platform: Encourages movement at the ankles and promotes circulation throughout the workday.
- Simple Ratchet Lock Height Adjustment: Height adjustments are easily accomplished with the feet. One foot stabilizes the footrest against the floor while the toe of the other foot is used to lift the footplate through the 6 levels. A locking ratchet system secures the platform at the desired height. Resetting the ratchet is done by lifting it to the maximum height and lowering it back to the lowest setting. This eliminates the need for awkward reaching below the desk to make adjustment and facilitates a smooth uninterrupted workflow.
- Large Platform: The Atlantic Footrest offers a 17.2" x 12.0" surface, sufficient surface without crowding, even for larger feet.
- Stable: With a steel base and frame the Atlantic is very stable.
- Slip Resistant Surface: Raised flowing ridges run across the foot platform to aid in maintaining foot position and can provide a massaging effect for feet when footwear is removed.
- Robust and Eco-Friendly Construction: The Atlantic Footrest features a heavy-duty steel frame that will last for many years. The foot platform is made out of 70% recycled nylon from fishing nets, reinforced with 30% fibreglass for enhanced strength. Overall a full 99% of content by weight is recyclable.

| | Usage Tips |

- Position your chair to the appropriate height prior to adjusting your footrest. This will ensure that you are able to properly access your worksurface. Once your seating height is selected, then adjust the footrest to a height which positions your knees slightly below your hips. The height should be sufficient to ensure that there are no pressure points against the back of the thighs at the edge of your seat.
- Employ the tilting footrest to regularly flex your ankles and lower legs. This will encourage circulation in the feet and calves and ensures that you do not sit statically for too long a period of time. Doing this will also ensure that you do not keep your feet and ankles in sustained plantar flexion or dorsiflexion.
