The R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse from R-Go Tools rotates the hand upward and outward. This angled posture reduces strain on the tissues of the forearm when compared with the traditional pronated "palm down" position. In addition, because the hand is now elevated up and away from the surface, it is no longer possible to "plant" the heel of the hand in the manner that the traditional mouse position encourages. Thus, the potential for the development of RSI from repetitive or sustained wrist extension is virtually eliminated.
The R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse offers support for the hand and fingers, encouraging individuals to let their hand relax against the natural contours. Because hand sizes vary, the HE Ergonomic Mouse is available in two sizes. Both sizes incorporate a flange so that the little finger is not left dragging along the desk surface. The Medium is sized to accommodate hand sizes ranging from 6.5" to 7.3" in length, is available in both Left and Right hand versions, and is equipped with a 4-level sensor that reads from 800-3200 DPI. The Large is also available for both Left and Right hand users and is better suited for larger hands from 6.9" in length and up. The Right is equipped with a 4-level sensor that can read from 500-2500 DPI, while the Left can read from 500-3500 DPI.
The R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse is also available in a Wireless model as well as the BREAK model which provides visual cues to remind users to take regular breaks in order to reduce the risk of developing RSI. Note: When selecting the appropriate size of R-Go Mouse the hand should be measured from the tip of the middle finger to the first crease in the wrist.
Reduces Pronation - The body of the R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse positions the hand at approximately 80° with the thumb and index finger elevated towards a handshake position. This rotates the forearm away from a pronated position and can reduce the risk of developing physical issues related to this position.Learn More About Pronation
Eliminates Risk of Trigger Finger - As the fingers can rest comfortably against the buttons without activating clicks users are able to let their fingers relax. There is no need to curl them back in anticipation of a click, an action which can lead to the development of Trigger Finger.Learn More About Trigger Finger.
Natural Finger Activation - Click activation on the R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse requires a simple curling of the fingers. Because the fingers are already resting against the body of the mouse both the degree of movement and the amount of force required are minimal.
No Learning Curve - The angled orientation of the R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse requires little adaptation. Effectively it is a traditional 2-button mouse design that has been angled outward. The fingers still perform the same functions, but from an angled hand posture. Because the fingers do not press down against the desk users may need to learn to exert compensating force from the thumb to counter lateral movement.
Easy Vertical Scrolling: The scroll wheel on the R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse is rubber coated and features distinct detents.
Pinkie Finger Flange: To encourage users to avoid traditional "pinching" movements, the R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse has a flange that keeps the little finger from making contact with the mousing surface. This actively encourages users to use their "arm" to achieve cursor control, rather than relying on micro movements of the fingers and thumb. It also keeps the finger from becoming overly sensitized from being dragged over across the mousing surface.
Back/Forward Thumb Buttons: Browsing Back and Forward is easily accomplished via the thumb activated buttons located just above and below the thumb well. The upper button is easily activated by rocking the thumb upwards, in order to access the lower button the thumb must be moved out of the well and slightly down before activation can be accomplished.
Multiple Sensor Level Settings: A Cursor Speed button on the underside of the mouse lets each person select the sensitivity that works best for them. The Medium Left and Right hand models have a sensor that can read at 800/1600/2400/3200 DPI. The Large Right Hand model reads at 500/1000/1800/2500 DPI and the Large Left Hand model reads at 500/1500/2000/3500 DPI.
Multiple Platform Compatibility: The R-Go HE Ergonomic Mouse is plug-and-play compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
