Smart Clinical Compact Keyboard

Designed to meet IP68 requirements, the Smart Clinical Compact Keyboard by Indukey features a closed silicone surface that completely protects the device from liquids and dust. The keyboard can be washed and disinfected, making it ideally suited to environments that demand high levels of hygiene. Measuring only 12" (305 mm) x 6" (150 mm) x 0.4" (11 mm) and weighing only 1.5 lbs (685 grams) it also takes up minimal space on the work surface.

The Smart Clinical Compact Keyboard uses carbon contact technology keyswitches (1.3 mm travel) with 153 grams (1.5 N) operating force rated at 2 million actuations. There are four individual contact points in each of the four corners of the keyswitch to ensure that the key will generate a keystroke regardless of where the top of the keycap is pressed. The layout features 86 keys. This keyboard does not include a dedicated or embedded numeric keypad, but does have the standard number row.

• Waterproof and Washable: The keyboard is sealed in 100% silicone, making it liquid and dust proof. Because it meets IP68 requirements it can also be safely washed or cleaned with soap or other non-petroleum based cleaners as needed.
• Rounded Profiles: The rounded profile of the silicone keycover eliminates any recesses, making washing and deep disinfection easy. As such this keyboard is ideally suited for environments with high hygienic requirements.
• KeyLock Function: A simple 3-second press of this dedicated key activates CleanMode – locking all key input so cleaning can be done without shut-down or disconnection. The Red LED in this key remains illuminated while in CleanMode. Another 3-second press returns the keyboard to full operational mode.
• Sturdy, Rigid Construction: Unlike many washable keyboards on the market that can be flexible and flimsy, this washable keyboard by InduKey features a heavy duty, rigid construction that offers a stable, solid feel when typing.
• Familiar Key Layout: Familiar key layout results in minimal adaptation time.
• Tactile Feedback: The 1.5 Newton activation force reduces the risk of inadvertent data entry while also ensuring crisp feedback even through medical gloves.
• Submersible for Deep Cleaning: With the exception of the USB connection both keyboard and cord can be fully immersed. The sealed silicone cover will protect the circuitry.
