The Handshoe Mouse (BlueRay Track with Light Click Force) from Hippus NV is the newest revision of the Handshoe Mouse and is now available in both RIGHT and LEFT models. The Handshoe Mouse is designed to fit your hand like a glove - no gripping, no pinching, no stretching fingers. The unique shape of the mouse allows your hand and fingers to completely relax while not actively mousing, helping to reduce the risk of RSI. The design comes in three different sizes which provide full support of the hand, wrist and fingers while actively mousing. The recommended usage for this mouse is on your desk with your forearm fully supported by the desk or arm support of your chair.
The Handshoe Mouse does not require any passive muscle tension or use, and prevents you from using any excessive muscle exertion while actively using the mouse, making it the only mouse on the market that is almost impossible to 'misuse'. Negative effects from 'anticipation of the click' (resulting in raised fingers and overexertion of the extensor muscles on traditional mice) are greatly reduced by the stabilized finger arch position provided by the design of the HandShoe Mouse.
The optical tracking uses advanced BlueRay Track technology combined with a 1500 DPI sensor which will work on almost any surface. The new LIGHT CLICK FORCE BUTTONS dramatically reduce the effort needed to activate clicks. There are two buttons with scroll wheel (three on the large model). No software is required - it works plug and play. It comes in black and is available in wired or wireless (USB cable charges battery).
Due to the greater amount of weight resting on a Handshoe Mouse (larger mouse, weight of hand and part of forearm) it is recommended that a firm, low friction mousing surface be used to reduce the effort required to move it. [less]
