The DXT Fingertip Mouse from City Ergonomics is an ergonomic vertical mouse designed to enable the hand and wrist to adopt a relaxed vertical posture. Control of the mouse is achieved by using the small muscles and joints of the fingers as opposed to the larger muscle groups of the shoulder and arm. The fingertips provide far more sensitivity, control and feedback than the arm which is why they are more suited for finer, precise movements requiring greater dexterity such as mousing. Ergonomic relaxed neutral wrist and hand position - The design of the DXT Precision Mouse enables the hand to work from a relaxed position, reducing the tension on the soft tissues. In addition the vertical design avoids extreme twisting of the forearm helping to increase comfort.
Precision grip for accurate navigation - Similar to a pen grip the DXT design allows for accurate navigation. Small muscles and joints of the fingers have higher processing abilities for movement and sensation than other larger body parts. The large muscle groups of the shoulder are adapted for power and larger ranges of movement whereas the smaller muscle groups of the hand are adapted for finer, precise movements.

Due to your fingers being in control the DXT Mouse can be used in small areas whether it be at work on a busy desk or on the train. - Precision grip design: The DXT Precision Mouse has an optimum finger-tip grip which allows the user to hold and move it accurately.
The two key design features for precision movements are the DXT’s shape and size which enable the DXT to be manipulated by the fingers and thumb. In particular the DXT enables the thumb and index finger to work together producing higher accuracy and performance.
The sensory surface of the tips of the fingers and thumb is used for maximum sensory input which will enhance the finer adjustments that need to be made from time to time.
The DXT Precision Mouse is held by the finger tips and not against the palm of the hand so it can be manipulated in the same manner as when using a pen - this gives the DXT Precision Mouse an advantage over other mice that are held in the palm of the hand. - 3 DPI Settings: Selectable resolution of 400, 800 & 1600 counts per inch.
